FCTecNrgy is at the forefront of this initiative, offering cutting-edge fuel solutions that support both the economy and the ecosystem. By pioneering innovative technologies such as Methanol Fuel, Methanol Refill Units (FRU), and Hydrogen Fuel, FCTecNrgy is committed to providing energy solutions that are not only efficient but also environmentally responsible

Methanol Fuel

Direct Methanol Fuel Cells (DMFC) are operated using methanol. The methanol is stored in Fuel Cartridges that have been designed especially for this purpose. Depending on requirements, these fuel cartridges are available in 0.35, 2.5, 5, 10, 28 and 60 litre capacities

High-purity methanol is needed to reliably operate the fuel cells. To ensure compliance with the strictest global safety standards, each filling operation is supervised by our quality management.

Only when original fuel cartridges are used, can the maximum operating life of the fuel cell be guaranteed.

Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC)

DMFC is a type of fuel cell that uses liquid methanol as fuel. It's smaller and lighter than other fuel cell types, making it suitable for portable applications

Working Principle

Methanol is oxidized at the anode, releasing electrons that flow through an external circuit to the cathode, where they combine with oxygen to produce water

Benefits

  • High energy density
  • Liquid fuel for easy storage and handling
  • Relatively low operating temperature
  • Reduced Carbon Footprint
  • Higher Tolerance to Impurities
  • Lower Hazard Risks

Hydrogen Fuel

Hydrogen as an energy carrier plays an important role worldwide in thedecarbonization of the economy. For the long-term success of the energy transition and to achieve climate targets, hydrogen is the alternative to fossil fuels. Hydrogen produced in a climate-friendly way makes it possible to significantly reduce COz emissions and plays the key role in the race to zero.

Hydrogen, the element with the highest energy density at 33 kWh/kg, offers unmatched efficiency compared to conventional fuels.EFOY Hydrogen Fuel Cells produce emission-free electricity from hydrogen, and do so very efficiently and with high availability.

Methanol Fuel

Methanol Fuel is celebrated for its high energy density and ease of transport, which makes it an exceptional choice for a variety of applications, including industrial processes, automotive fuel cells, and emergency power generation. Methanol is a versatile, clean-burning fuel that offers an efficient and reliable alternative to traditional fossil fuels, supporting energy needs in even the most remote locations.

Hydrogen Fuel

Hydrogen Fuel represents a significant advancement in clean energy technology, offering a high-capacity power solution with zero carbon emissions. It’s suitable for a broad range of applications, from powering electric vehicles to providing backup power for critical infrastructure and renewable energy systems.

Onsite Hydrogen Generation

The Methanol Refill Units (FRU) are an in-house innovation designed to simplify fuel handling with an automated system that integrates seamlessly with various methanol fuel cell applications. Prioritizing efficiency, health, and safety, the FRU allows for refilling two M0.35 cartridges from a single M10 cartridge, optimizing resource use while reducing the need for frequent maintenance and minimizing direct handling risks

Methanol Fuel Cartridges

High Energy Density

The high energy density of methanol provides a lot of energy in a very small space with fuel cartridges. 10 litres of methanol has a capacity of 11.1 kWh of energy and weighs just 8.4 kg. To deliver the same quantity of energy, around 280 kg of lead-gel batteries would be needed. As a result, the autonomy of your off-grid application can be increased many times.

Safety

The fuel cartridges have been designed to meet the strictest safety standards and have received UN 3473 approval for transportation by sea, road and air. Their design ensures that the user is never at risk of coming into contact with their contents.

Hydrogen

The hydrogen supply for our EFOY Hydrogen Fuel Cells is designed to be flexible, and can be supplied from commercially available hydrogen 3.0 steel cylinders, cylinder bundles or entire containers.
Its clean, emission-free nature makes it ideal for sustainable energy solutions across industries.

Emission-free energy for a carbon neutral future

Hydrogen is a clean energy source. When used to power a fuel cell, the only by-products are waste heat and water vapour. Using green hydrogen in a fuel cell, generated from renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar, the resulting energy is carbon neutral.

By replacing petrol/ diesel generators with fuel cells, you can significantly reduce your carbon footprint. Furthermore, hydrogen can be generated onsite at the application, thus reducing the carbon footprint of the energy system value-chain.

On-site Hydrogen Generation

We provide comprehensive Hydrogen Ecosystem solutions, with a focus on on site green hydrogen generation. Using state-of-the-art electrolysers, we efficiently produce hydrogen by splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen, ensuring a clean, sustainable fuel source. This hydrogen can be stored and used across various applications, offering a zero-emission alternative for industries such as transportation and energy.

Our end-to-end approach not only supports green energy initiatives but alsó helps reduce operational costs by cutting reliance on traditional fuels and reducing carbon footprints, paving the way for a cleaner, more sustainable future.
