FC TecNrgy Pvt Ltd and SFC Energy AG Secure a major Fuel Cell Generator Contract from the Indian Army
Gurgaon 31 May 2023: FC TecNrgy Pvt. Ltd (FCT Energy), a leading Indian Fuel Cell and Sustainable Energy enterprise in India for Direct methanol and Hydrogen fuel cells, has secured a prestigious contract with the Indian Army for providing 900 units of Direct Methanol Fuel Cell Based Fuel Cell Generators. The systems will be produced in India as a Make in India (Atmanirbhar Bharat) initiative.
The contract, value exceeds Rs. 160 Crores is one of the largest fuel cell order placed till date by the Indian Defence forces. Over the course of the next year, FCT Energy with its strategic partner SFC Energy AG through its Indian Subsidiary, SFC India, will jointly manufacture the fuel cell-based hybrid power generator in India.
The fuel cell generator has been developed indigenously to provide the power requirements of the Armed Forces in all-weather and all-terrain applications. It is highly rugged, compact, silent, economical, and intelligent. The system can supply energy to operate communication, navigation, and surveillance devices, as well as meet the basic power needs of small military camps and isolated detachments in forward locations. It offers both DC and AC power outputs simultaneously and thus replaces small DG sets.

The Fuel Cell Generator utilizes methanol as fuel, providing a dependable and lightweight power source. It boasts on low fuel consumption, intelligence for efficient operation, and the ability to withstand extreme climatic conditions and harsh terrains, including temperatures as low as -40 degrees.
