Prioritize the Use of Different Power Sources based on the Battery Status

Priority charge manager (PCM) Intelligently manages multiple power sources as per defined priorities for a Hybrid Energy Network with inbuilt redundancies. The PCM can also integrate Grid Power and DG Sets along with a clean energy hybrid network that could include Solar, Wind, Fuel cells, Energy Storage, Invertors etc. as part of a small Micro Grid with no human intervention. Some of its other important features are Data logging and status Display of all power sources with the capability for remote management as an add on.
Compatible power sources for PCM 100 are:
Solar Power
Fuel Cell
Wind Power
Grid Power
Genset

Battery compatibility: Any type of battery of 24V or 48V configuration.

Priority Logic Summary

The priority logic summary refers to the way that the system will prioritize the use of different power sources based on the battery status. Here is a breakdown of the logic:

When the battery is below 50%, the power control module (PCM) will allow all available power sources to charge the battery with full capacity.

When the battery status reaches 60%, the fuel cell will be stopped, and the PCM will allow the battery to be charged by solar, grid, wind, or a combination of all three sources.

When the battery status is between 50% to 60%, the PCM will check the availability of solar power. If the solar current is less than 7A, the PCM will allow the battery to be charged up to 60%. Otherwise, the fuel cell will be stopped.
